Police Beat:

6 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 15 - Oregon State Police were dispatched to the north side of the Valley Library for skateboarder activity. No one was found in the area when the police arrived.

obviously, when skateboarders are running amock, the rest of the cities emergency concerns cease all sense of importance. this matter was so potentially dangerous that campus police were not called, nor the city police. this situation could have only been diffused by the state police.

with all their anti-skateboarder control techniques and combat training.
