so my first graduation gift trickled in on tuesday night from my aunt katie and uncle larry. i received a very nice, leather bound journal, a carefully worded letter with enclosed metal heart and a pen.

a pen worth between $185 and $215 dollars.

im humbled and gracious for these gifts. but really. a pen. it really doesnt matter how much it costs, at the end of the day its still a pen. and if the pen costs over two hundred dollars, i might as well frame it and hang the work of art on my wall.

i mean really, its just a pen. well, at least if times get rough, i can sell it for a months worth of groceries.
