my inside source informs me that "there are currently 8 filmed episodes of LOST. There were supposed to be 16 episodes this season. However, production is now halted, because of the writers strike. No new episodes can be made until they are written. If the WGA's demands are not met any time soon, we could be stuck with only 8 episodes of LOST this season; with a promised cliffhanger ending attached to the 8th episode."

this is most unpleasant. i look forward to this season of LOST more than i do the birth of my second child.
