looking for jobs is terrible business. not only is it boring, but there is no reward in it either. for every dozen applications you spend hours perfecting a resume for, you may get one call back. and for every call back and interview you do well on, you get twelve rejection letters for.

julie is convinced a college degree should be able to earn more than ten dollars an hour, but i know otherwise. a bachelors degree means you wasted alot of money on something that entry level jobs prefer but dont need. in my searches, consistently the jobs that will pay you more per hour dont require a degree. correctional officers and emergency call takers: $17 to $25 an hour. full benefits. no experience necessary. adolescent counselors and skills trainers: $9 to $16 an hour. six months to two years experience. ugh. i dont think i even remember enough information to honestly claim i have a psychology degree.

but i need to do something. i need to find the career pathway to $50k. i just wish this whole process wasnt so antimotivating.
