flies. not the small annoying houseflies, but small aircraft disguised as flies. huge flies. and not just one or two either. dozens. swarms. justin played on his drums, and suddenly, against the window, thousands of them congregated in a black mass. it was the most terrifying thing id ever seen. so justin and i armed ourselves, and went to work. we slayed 15 of them in a two minute assault on their forces. and when 15 fell, 30 more appeared to replace them. wave after wave. the battlefield moved from the doorway to the kitchen window, then do the bed room windows to the living room windows. it didnt seem to end. when all was quiet and the air was still, justin and i bother looked at each other and sighed...but the security of triumph wouldnt last long. the second battallion soon followed, and we had to enlist the help of the Brain on this one. even though, his mid air swat was an effective means of disabling our enemies, his aim was worse than a quadriplegics. so the three of us spent a good half hour slaughtering these flies, leaving corpses of the slain strewn about our castle. then we went looking for the breeding grounds. as my mom perceptively noted, "its too cold for flies." which means they were multiplying somewhere in our house, and not coming in from the outdoors. we looked everywhere, but it didnt occur to us to look up. when we saw the skylight with more of their infantry, we new we were doomed. it was out of reach, and we could see many more flies rebuilding their armies.

to be continued.
