after a wonderfully long nap that allowed me and ben to watch shaun of the dead unhindered, ashton wanted to do something upon his wakening. so outside was what we agreed on.

he found his little blue and yellow puddle boots and we went outside.

to the puddles! in shorts and puddle boots, a hoody and a burning desire for adventure we traveled to the construction zone.

deep puddles. muddy puddles. shallow puddles. he tredged them all. boogers streaming down his face, a smile that refused to budge.

then, soaked in mud and rainwater we put some clothes in the dryer and waited. he sat naked in his diaper on the washmachine patiently waiting.

then all my laundry came out, warm to the touch. ashton tackled the pile as soon as it hit my bed. we dressed him up, and unfortunately we could only find one mickey mouse slipper for his feet.

so right now hes wearing one blue mickey mouse slipper and a sock. hes got pennies in his pockets. and animal crackers smeared around his mouth.
