....Officials from six major oil companies have refused to testify this week at a Senate hearing looking into whether oil industry mergers in recent years have made gasoline more expensive at the pump....

well i am just shocked.

fuck you. are you fucking kidding me? real big fucking surprise. i cant imagine why they would refuse to testify. i mean, if they had nothing to hide, then there should be absolutely no reason why they would hinder a legal investigation into their unusually high financial gain. right?

you silly corporations. how wonderful it must be to tip toe over the heads of the american population. how delighted you must be with your lavish houses and comfortable families. how passe it must be to have private jets and multiple homes. how easy must it be to have your oil wells in third world countries spilling terrible things into a fragile environment. how you must sneer at the rising costs of the minimum wages you bitterly pay your gas station attendants while you can literally watch the numbers in your bank account increase by the hundreds.

when someone powerful enough and unphased by the persuasion of corruption and bribery finally brings down all this corporate bullshit, i really hope all the CEOs who relished in their wealth without consideration of anything or anyone below them find themselves living in a village in china or africa. i hope they find themselves begging for food in a somalian food market. drinking water out of a yellowed lake teeming with internal parasite larvae. why cant there just be a cap on wealth? why cant communism be modified to work to the extent that people can be financially rewarded...but only so much. why cant their be more bill gates? is bill gates even a good guy?

and then next time i buy a $98 text book that should only cost me $30, im really going to enjoy....sigh...thinking about all the horrible things i could do to the publishers as i hand the cashier a $100 bill....fuck.
