tonight i held an animal that lacked all physical resemblence to anything more than a bunch of sharp, pointy pins. this animal was a hedgehog. such a bizarre creature.

i played pool. i had some coffee. i ate a steak and some eggs.

russell and rachel were my company, and i enjoyed my time immensely. i did come to realize however, that as i age, along with the people i know, our conversations will become more and more mundane as adults. employment will consume so much of our time.

"so, what have you been up to justin?"
"work, just work and kids man. what about you?"
"just working alot."
"yeah."
"yeah."
"....yeah."

is that ultimately what we are doomed to become? at least once a week there has to be something different. something worth sharing with a friend during conversation.

i guess i need to start stabbing hobos again.
