muse.

julie brain and myself.

theater of the clouds. rose garden.

incredible.

as soon as the first song blared to life, i knew that i was going to be extremely satisfied with this show. the light displays and backgrounds were dazzling and impressive. the volume of the music was as loud as ive ever experienced. the musicians themselves were more talented than i had hoped.

it always makes for a great show when the band can break from their original songs and expand on them; blending consecutive songs together, miniature jam sessions in between or after a song, even adding an extended opening to an otherwise good song all benefit the show as a whole. muse did all of these things. they were loud. they were enjoying their music instead of just playing their cd tracks and calling it a night.

this was a show justin michael davis would leave thoroughly impressed.

the songs of theirs currently on the radio, which i wasnt too fond of, i now enjoy listening to. while they only played a few songs i didnt know, and didnt particularly care for, essentially the entire set list was a collection of their best works and thus, my favorite songs. minus two.

apocolypse please and shrinking universe.

i wasnt sure i was going to commit to going to this show, and brain needed my encouragement in order to purchase the tickets. julie herself was sure either. but we all left very glad we were present last night. ill see them again. i just hope they continue making good music. great music.

fantastic.
