pintrest.

the concept is simple: you find an image you like somewhere out in the ether of the internet, and you add it to an endless collection of other images you also like. this continues on even as other people find your images and add them to their endless collections. no one owns anything. all the images are swapped and traded and saved into a libertarian oasis of freedom. if someone happens to have a knack for collecting images that you always seem to find yourself enjoying, you may choose to follow that person. then you get to see everything they like in pictures. often, you will want many of their pinned pictures to show off to your own followers.

until tibet tenzin came along. he had his own agenda for the pintrest landscape. as a prolific pinner himself, with some 390,000 followers and 100,000 pins to his name, this guy would fill up screen with related images. hundreds of images of obscure, remote places. of accent masks. of types of doors. you name it, this guy would find unnecessary numbers of these things from the internet and show them to you. to all his followers. and occasionally, some of these pictures would catch my interest. and i would pin them.

until one day.
