everyone knows it. companies. the president. civilians. scientists. farmers. everyday people. and the people who control them.
the world is dying. its being consumed. and for some reason, all anyone cares to think about is how much money they can make while theyre alive.
the associated press reported:

"The biggest consumers of nonrenewable natural resources are the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Kuwait, Australia and Sweden, who leave the biggest "ecological footprint," the World Wildlife Fund said in its regular Living Planet Report.
Humans currently consume 20 percent more natural resources than the Earth can produce, the report said."

and then the assholes chime in.

"But Fred Smith, president of the Washington-based Competitive Enterprise Institute and a former official of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency during the Nixon and Ford administrations, said he was skeptical. In a telephone interview, Smith said the WWF view is "static" and fails to take into account the benefits many people get from resource use."

so someone says the world is dying and cant support the human population, and all fred smith can say is "but think about the benefits of resource use." holy shit. that is the most ignorant bullshit ive ever heard. who gets the benefits of resource use? somalia? cambodia? northern korea? columbia? afghanistan? are they getting their fare share of the benefits? or is the US and europe? there is some statistic out there that the US consumes 75% of the worlds resources, but constitutes only 5% of the world population. something like that. we are benefited. no one else. and by benefits, you must mean at the cost of everyone else and the environment that provides the resources. because if you meant that you are also giving benefits back to the planet i could agree with you. but mankind takes. it does not give back. it smears. it maims. it rapes pillages and leaves all for dead. it cares about instant gratification. it cares about money and power. its very selfish. the US doesnt help anyone. it steps on them. it glorifies only when its interests are being upheld.
but we saved iraq!
we saved their oil for us.
but we fed somalia!
we....did nothing.
we were the designers of the kyoto protocols the rest of the world has agreed to fulfill!
we....didnt because we care more about money than our water air and soil.
we take. we dont give. if we gave, then we would help africa and their surging AIDS problem. we would help their poverty. we would go to china and provide food, education and intellectual freedom. we would stop clearcutting in south america. we would stop resorts from going up off the fragile tropical coasts of thailand. we would stop poachers in all countries.
america doesnt do anything unless it furthers the interests of money and power.

"The Competitive Enterprise Institute has been a frequent critic of what it calls "environmental alarmism" from organizations like WWF. Smith said the footprint idea is wrongheaded.
"It's sort of like saying, 'General Motors must be much more wasteful than the local laundromat because General Motors spends more resources.' Yes, but they are producing more product, too," he told the AP."

what? what the fuck? so theyre admitting that GM is wasteful and they spend more resources, but as long as GM puts out more product...its ok? it doesnt matter how much is destroyed but as long as people are still able to buy their shit, who cares? what the fuck sort of idealogy is that?

"'The real question is not whether the United States is a wealthy place but rather whether it's producing more wealth than it's consuming. Obviously, we are. We're using a lot of the world's resources but we're producing far more of the world's resources."
Loh said governments, businesses and consumers should switch to energy-efficient technology, such as solar power.
"We can consume energy in a way that's harmful or in a way that's sustainable," he said. "The technologies are available to enable the world's population to live within the capacity of one planet.'"

again, what the fuck? what the fuck does wealth have to do with using the worlds resources? "we're using alot of the worlds resources, but we are producing far more of the worlds resources"? on what? shitty cars that pollute the air and spill oil all over the ground. ummmm. what the fuck i dont understand exactly what benefit the world gets from the SUVs that pollute the air and the ground. it just baffles me. if GM had made a statement like, "yes we are using most of the worlds resources, but we are producing vehicles with absolutely zero negative effects such as zero emissions and consume zero fossil fuels...." i would be so fucking happy. absolutely elated with endless respect. but this is not the case. they dont care about saving the planet. why should they. they can fuck it up all they want, make all the money they can, stomp on anyone they want and then die. they will die within the span of time before they have to deal with such issues as toxic air. thousands of animals and plants extinct. constant 90% smog. poisonous lakes and rivers. seriously. what the fuck. if you as a company just suddenly said, "hey, employees and financers of GM, no longer are we going to be a company that relies on fossil fuels. from this day forward we will only make vehicles that run on water. or air. or hydrogen. or solar. we will be the first footsteps to saving the entire planet. we will put a electrical or solar powered vehicle in every american home in the next 5 years. hundreds of years from now, we will be the only company praised for our breakthough thinking. we can sleep knowing we have done a monumental effort to protect the people of the planet as well as its wildlife...." but no. money. greed. power. at any cost.

"'But it's not a question of how much oil is left," he said. "The question we should be asking is how much fossil fuel consumption the Earth can sustain. The Earth has a limited capacity.'"

ok. good. i hope it runs out significantly earlier than anyone anticipated forcing every single vehicle and fossil fuel powered device to stop, and never again poison the air. it will force civilians to realize that what they drive and how they get their energy matters. it matters to their children. it matters to the green healthy forests. it matters for the survival of the entire human race. we cant sustain oil use. there is no question about it. it will run out. it will exaust itself. and that will be a glorious day. saudi arabia will collapse. and the rest of the world will have to start considering other alternatives to energy. the sun wont run out. there are millions of miles of barren desert, fill it with solar panels and power the planet. who cares how much it costs initially. if you want power, not the electrical kind, if you want real power and influence, you sacrifice. you put yourself out there for the planet, you make the choice to try something safer and cleaner.....and you win. patent it, and youre power becomes infinite.

"Populations of land, freshwater and marine species fell on average by 40 percent between 1970 and 2000. The report cited urbanization, forest clearance, pollution, overfishing and the introduction by humans of nonnative animals, such as cats and rats, which often drive out indigenous species."

get out of town. just get right out. are you serious?!!?! is anyone surprised? does anyone care? will anything change? and do you think from 2000 to 2020 that number will decrease? i promise you by the time 2020 rolls around population drops and extinctions will surge to 80%. just you wait.

all of you fucked everything up. and no one can change anything. not my voice. not anyones. only money will change anything.
