i crossed the ross island bridge last night at 723 pm.

it was dark.

DARK!

then today, dark cloud cover. the brewing sensation of rain. a stiff breeze, confidently cold.

when did summer end? did i miss it? how could it have suddenly come and gone so fast?

at the expense of losing late nights in shorts and warm air, i will now get to smother myself in the warmth of my bed.

the cold of the air stinging my nose as i sleep.
